No. You need to have a proper battery charger for the solar panels to extract the amount of current that gives peak power else solar cells may get over loaded and heated or may not supply any current at all or may even drain the battery. I think there must be a proper design for solar cell based battery charger.
As far as inverter is concerned Battery DC voltage to AC inverter portion will be the same type. You need to be careful with your inverter and solar cells that you don’t try to connect then without having enough expertise as you may end up damaging them and causing some serious accident.
You can attach any panel with your inverter using a charge controller.
- Team Saurya, This is true. One has to use a proper charge controller. It would have been much better if a link to such charge controller was given for reference and technical details for interfacing may be found. User has clearly specified 12V Battery based inverter and it was also easy to suggest proper charge controller for 12V battery system. Of course information about Battery rating and inverter power rating was missing but something very standard can be assumed. Dr. Shyam
- Have you seen out charge controller calculator? We have created an easy calculator to find out the amperage of charge controller required. Without other data, this is what we hope will help the users: http://sauryaenertech.com/calculator/solar-charge-controller/
