Hello,
I want to know the efficiency of the basic “Saurya brand” solar cells used in the solar cell arrays. I also want to know their usable life and what happens to them in time. It will also be nice to know the smaller solar module building block size, their output voltage and power rating along with efficiency details and some reference for the MRP cost involved.

Dear Dr. Shyam,
Our solar panels come in various categories and sizes making the efficiency different accordingly. From 10W (9.4% efficiency) to 150W (16.2% efficiency) these depend upon which type of solar panel (poly, mono or thin film), rating of the panel (100W, 120W etc) and the series (number of cells in a module ex: 36, 48 etc).
What do you mean by building block size? For a solar panel we look at Vmpp (17-19V), Impp (0.67-6.1A), Voc ( around 21V) and Isc (0.6-8A)
I was not sure your about your question, so I have given the range of data.

- Team Saurya, What is the smallest size for the 16.2% efficiency solar cell array? I notice that you have written 150W for 16.2% efficiency solar cell arrays, which looks to me a one square meter size panel. Assuming that for such panels Vmpp = 18V+/-1V and Impp 6A+/-0.1A, maximum power one can draw @18V is 128W at standard solar flux. You may have 208 sq.cm to 277sq.cm area in each individual solar cells and total numbers from 36 numbers to 48 numbers. This gives 3.55W and 2.66W power per cell. If you can provide me Vmpp and Impp for each cell of type 16.2% efficiency then I may have some clear idea. Your information is well organized so there was not much difficulty in understanding it. Thanks. Dr. Shyam
- Hello, Again it depends on the size and type but 150W panel can have 16% efficiency.

Efficiency of solar cells varies. Usually solar panels are about 15% efficient. It might seem bad, however, solar PV system can supply just fine even despite low percentage. Surely there are panels with higher efficiency but they also cost more. As for how long they can last, good solar product can work faultlessly for more than 20 years.

If you have any solar power system so you should purchase good quality solar cells because cells are working 24 hours in a day. If your solar cells are powerful, so they will give you good power backup every time. And they will also save your extra expensive. And some of the best solar energy solutions in Los Angeles who is taking care of solar panels and solar cells.

I have been doing some research on the life of solar panels myself and have found that solar panels have a life of 25 years. It seems to me that it would be worth investing in solar then.
